Mhe. Eng. Maryprisca Mahundi (Mb)

Hon. Maryprisca Winfried Mahundi (MP) was born on 04 July, 1978 in Mkomaindo Hospital in Masasi District, Mtwara Region. She completed her Primary Education at Vibaoni Primary School in Handeni District, Tanga Region (1987-1993). She attended Korogwe Girls' Secondary School in Korogwe District (1994) and St. Mary’s Mazinde Juu Secondary School in Lushoto District (1995-1998) respectively in Tanga Region for her Secondary Education. She went to Makongo High School from 1999 to 2001 for her Advanced Level Education.
In 2002-2005, she graduated with Full Technician Course in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT). She also did an Advance Course in Signals and Telecommunication Engineering at Tianjin Railways College - China (2008 - 2009). In 2009 - 2012 she graduated with Bachelor Degree in Business Administration at Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST). She holds Masters in Business Administration from Mzumbe University - Mbeya Campus (2015 – 2017).
She worked as Signalling and Telecommunication Engineer at Tanzania and Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) from 1st January, 2007 until 27th June, 2018. On July, 2018 she was appointed and served as Chunya District Commissioner until July, 2020.
Hon. Maryprisca Mahundi was elected as a Member of Parliament Special Seats in Mbeya Region on October 2020. In December 2020, she was appointed as Deputy Minister for Water succeeding Hon. Jumaa Aweso (MP).
